City. Take Hwy 56 North 20 miles to Beersheba Springs. Turn left of
Dahlgren Avenue, take the 1st right onto Beersheba Lane. Shop is
in 1st house.


30 Cleveland Creative Arts Guild
295 Inman St., Cleveland : 423-478-3114
On a corner across from the Museum at Five Points, the Guild is well placed to
receive interested visitors. The Guild consists of space for the Billy Nipper Gallery
and the work of several other local artists. Oil, watercolor and acrylic paintings as
well as folk and ethnic art can be found in the gallery.
Hours: Thurs. – Sat. 11 am – 5 pm
Directions: From Chattanooga travel I-75 north. Take Exit 20 and proceed
to Hwy 11 Exit ramp. Turn left onto Hwy 11 (South Lee Hwy) and
proceed north to Inman St. Turn right. The Guild is on the left at
the 4th traffic light.


32 Smith’s Crossroads

This is a large, diverse shop with a coffee bar. Local antiques are mixed with local
arts. Watercolor artist, Susan Wilhoit, is usually there at her painting table. Local
fine potters, metal sculptors, woodworkers, and jewelers offer works for sale.
Handmade silk scarves and homemade paper hand-bound journals show their
beauty in usable items.
Hours: Mon. – Sat. 10 am – 5 pm
Directions: From Chattanooga, travel North on I-27 to Dayton. In Dayton take
the business route to downtown. This is Market St. Smith’s is on
the right.

Studio offers fanciful and elegant wrought-iron gates, stair and balcony railings, outdoor structures and furniture. Artisan blacksmith, Bubba Williams, and designer, Beth
Thevenot, create each item. Smaller projects include lighting, wrought iron hardware,
arbors, window boxes, and decorative and functional items in wrought iron.
Hours: Mon. – Fri. 7 am – 5 pm, Sat. 7 am – noon
Directions: Traveling I-75 take Exit 49 Athens/Decatur. Go west on Hwy 30 to
Decatur. Turn left on Main St. and right on Sharon St.

An interesting metal sculpture outside draws one in to an old General Store interior.
You can find hand-turned bowls, handmade shelves, clocks, furniture, wall hangings
and pottery by local artists. They also have handmade unique rustic birdhouses,
antiques, and decorative accessories.

Directions: From Chattanooga, take I-27 North to Hwy. 111. Take Hwy. 111 to
Dunlap. Take the Dunlap Exit then I -127S to Dunlap. Turn left on
Cherry St. Market is on the right.
