This gallery has been a fixture in downtown Chattanooga since 1944. Specializing
in original Chattanooga art and artists as well as custom framing, local and national
potters and photographers, in addition to painters and jewelers, show their work in
this gallery.

Directions: Traveling North on I-27. Take Exit 1A, East M L King Boulevard. Turn
left at the second light onto Market St. Go 1 block and turn right on
8th St. Go 1 block and turn left on Cherry St. Go 1 block and turn
left onto 7th St. Gallery is on the right.
First Street Sculpture Garden

Art on display in this outdoor sculpture garden is for sale to the public. Art is rotated

Directions: Traveling I-24, take I -27 to downtown. Exit onto 4th St. Go 3 blocks,
turn left on Market St. Garden begins at 1st and Market St. and

Newton Studio/Gallery

This is a working studio/gallery near the Tennessee Aquarium. The studio/gallery
has an intimate exhibition of the work of Chattanooga artist Charlie Newton. The
style of work ranges from representational to abstract in oil, charcoal, and pencil.
Hours: Mon. – Fri. 11 am – 2 pm or by appointment.
Directions: Traveling I-24 to I-27 towards downtown take Exit 1C (4th St.). At
the 3rd light turn left on Market St. Gallery is on the right.
River Gallery and Sculpture Garden

The Gallery carries fine handcrafts from Southern artists, as well as paintings and
sculpture by nationally-recognized artists. There are over 100 artists from which to
choose. The gallery is located in a 10-room early 1900’s Spanish home. River Gallery
Sculpture Garden contains a permanent collection in addition to an annual exhibition.
Hours: Open Mon. – Sat. from 10 am – 5 pm and Sun. 1 pm – 5 pm.
Closed major holidays.
Directions: Traveling on I-24 take I-27 to downtown Chattanooga. Take Exit 1C
(4th St.) Go up the hill and turn left on High St. Gallery is on the
right in the Bluff View Art District.
Gannon Art Center

Watercolor, pottery, and oil paintings by local artists are available in the gallery at
the Gannon Art Center. Custom framing, antique prints and art supplies are also
available.

Directions: Traveling on I-24 take Exit 183 Germantown Road. Turn north on
Germantown. At the light turn right on Brainerd Rd. Gannon is on
the left a few blocks before the tunnel.
