In January, you will find the influence of international travels expressed in the work of our exhibiting artists. Felt artist Rachel Nicholson captures the essence of Chinese folk art in her work. On her recent travels to China and Cambodia, she found inspiration in the colors, buildings, and traditional artwork. The clay work of artist Penny Truitt is representative of her recent travels in China as well. Her work explores the old architecture and lush vegetation of the farming communities in the rural Chinese landscape. Sharron Parker also wishes to celebrate her travels abroad in her fiber art. Her work is spontaneous and experimental.

The Princess and the Pea
Envision a kingdom of snow ruled by the Storm King and Snow Queen who live with their residents Winter Wind Workers, Blizzard Bringers, Icicle Sharpeners, and Snow Smoothers. Add to that, a prince looking for a proper princess to share his throne. Little does the heir to the throne know that his princess and her parents live with their subjects, the Flower Gardeners, River Runners, Green Shoot Growers, and Tree Barkers, in a kingdom of green rolling hills and running rivers. Don't these kingdoms have anything in common? The peace-loving Leprechauns just might save the day. We think you'll love the new twists and turns applied to an old classic!
All ACT performances will be held at the Sue E. Trotter Theatre at the Arts Center. Opening nights feature a Dinner Theatre highlightine the theme of each play.
