    Allied Arts Raises the Curtain on its 2010 Campaign: “The Arts are for All!”

    On February 25th, Allied Arts of Greater Chattanooga raises the curtain on its 2010 Annual Campaign with “The Arts are for All,” a celebration like no other. In one day, ballet dancers, visual artists, musicians and local authors will teach, create and perform all over Chattanooga for school children, people with special needs, senior citizens and adult learners at more than 18 different venues from Signal Mountain to Ooltewah.  Click here to see a list of scheduled activities.

    Allied Arts Announces Imagine! Arts Education Initiative

    Imagine!, a new arts education initiative announced Tuesday by Allied Arts of Greater Chattanooga, will provide every Hamilton County public elementary school student an unprecedented introduction and exposure to the arts through activities presented by local arts organizations.

    Allied Arts’ Holmberg Institute Graduates 5th Leadership Class

    Allied Arts of Greater Chattanooga held a graduation ceremony for the 5th Holmberg Arts Leadership Institute class on December 1, 2009 at the Bessie Smith Cultural Center. The arts leadership program was launched in 2005 in memory of long-time Allied Arts board member and arts advocate A. William Holmberg, Jr.

    Allied Arts Awarded Kresge Foundation Grant

    Allied Arts of Greater Chattanooga has been awarded a $124,000 grant from the Kresge Foundation. The grant from the Troy, Michigan based foundation will fund Allied Arts’ Capacity Building, Sustainability and Technical Assistance Program. This program will include an in-depth examination of the operations of Allied Arts and their 15 funded cultural partners and provide organizational support.
